Senior Electromechanical Engineer (Full Time Project Based)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our project team for the implementation of a major hydropower project. The successful candidate will be stationed at the project site and will be responsible for overseeing the execution, supervision, and monitoring of all electromechanical and Transmission Line works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and monitor electromechanical (E&M) works including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Plan, implement, and monitor Transmission line works.
• Supervise Contractors/subcontractors works and ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and project consultants for timely delivery and installation.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols and engineering best practices.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation related to E&M and Transmission Line activities.
• Support the resolution of technical issues and assist in claims or variation orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary site team to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with civil and hydro-mechanical works.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in hydropower or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of hydropower electromechanical systems
• Familiarity with national and international standards related to hydropower and electrical installations.
• Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
• Willingness to be stationed at the project site for the duration of the construction and commissioning phase.
