Position: Corporate Governance Officer

Job Description

Urja Developers Pvt Ltd is looking for the Corporate Governance (CG) Officer for working under Urja ESG to acts as a bridge between the executive management and the Board of Directors, facilitating the delivery of organizational objectives. CG Officer seeks alignment of the interests of different parties around a boardroom table, facilitates dialogue, gathers relevant information, and enables effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

The CG Officer must have the necessary qualifications to properly carry out his/her duties. The CG Officer shall be selected from an appropriate position to be able to exercise his/her function as a channel of communication between the Company’s Board of Directors and executive management. The CG Officer should be intelligent, possess high personal morals and ethics, be highly effective, open, and responsive to different mechanisms of communication and efficient negotiation, and capable of advising the management as well as Board of Directors in a way that supports the directors in making effective decisions, respecting confidences and generate alternative solutions.


Candidates for this position shall meet the following requirements: 

    • Higher Education, preferably in business administration, law, finance, or a related field is required.
    • Total Job Experience: 6 years.
    • Relevant Job Experience: 4 years.
    • Understanding of Corporate Law: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of corporate law, corporate governance principles, and compliance practices.
    • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with Board members, executives, and other stakeholders.
    • Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage a range of tasks.
    • Leadership Abilities: Ability to guide Board members and executives on matters of corporate governance and ethical conduct.
    • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex legislation and regulations.
    • Confidentiality: Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
    • Integrity: Demonstrated high standards of honesty and ethical behavior.
    • No criminal record or disqualification.
