Environment and Social Safeguard Specialist

Hom Jyoti Adhikari is an Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety (ESHS) Professional with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and an M.S. degree in Earth System Science and Policy from the University of North Dakota, USA. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experiences exploring, understanding, solving, and managing ESHS issues associated with construction projects, including hydropower. With his experiences working on projects undertaken by the government as well as private institutions funded by multinational organizations, e.g., World Bank, IFC, and ADB, he has a good grasp on ESHS requirements and expectations of multiple stakeholders of hydropower construction in Nepal.
